App to Remove Windows 11 Bloatware
Here comes Win11Debloat, an open-source tool to remove ‘unnecessary’ softwares from Windows 11 and Windows 10. As far as I’m aware, it works best with Windows 11, hence the name.
There are other projects focusing on similar efforts, but I decided to write them off. There were some criteria, albeit arbitrary, for choosing a de-bloating software: one. there needs to be a manifest of what will it delete, two. the manifest has to be maintained and stay up to date, three. if needed, the project should have a guideline on reinstalling what it has removed. I’ve seen too many projects getting too greedy on defining what is unnecessary, hence why I looked for less invasive option.
Ultimately, I think what Windows 11 needs is a lite version of itself. Not everyone needs the complete suite of Microsoft Store, let alone social media apps that come bundled with the OS. I understand if the intention is for users to reconsider the Store, but ultimately isn’t the premise of Windows is that it is far more customizable than its competitors, especially the user groups who are installing OS by themselves.
