How to Elden Ring: Reach Subterranean Inquisition Chamber Without Abductor Virgins

Though path through Raya Lucaria comes with more story-related contents, in case anyone wishes to find a way to reach “Subterranean Inquisition Chamber” Site of Grace without venturing to the magic academy, here is another path to reach the place in Elden Ring.

1. Starting from “Temple of Eiglay” Site of Grace, head back to the entrance.
2. Head toward the directions of Blackflame Monk, climb down the staircase.
3. Instead of taking elevators back down to previous lava area, there is a step-down by the cliff side. Take a leap.
4. Following the straight path, there is yet another lava area with 5 Giant Bats.
5. To your right is the “Subterranean Inquisition Chamber”, and to your left is the spawning point had you been abducted by the Abductor Virgins. (The video shows the spawning point at the end)

I personally recommend using Abductor Virgins for the first playthrough, be it may part of Patches’ quest, or just a happy accident. It is reminiscent of previous SoulsBorne games, and it was indeed a good change of pace and scenery when I was fed up with the magic school.

But do remember, beating Abductor Virgins boss to leave the inquisition chamber leads to Mt. Gelmir, a region past the Grand Lift of Dectus. That alone has its own shares of stories and quests, so this route inevitably skips some contents. You can still claim the halves of Medallions to use the lift later.
